I brought my father to the long-term care, 4th Floor, facility with the understanding he would have respectful and quality end of life care. How wrong I was. He lived less than two weeks. Where he came from Hillard Springs, he was doing great. I moved him to Ohio Living, because it was closer to me. He was absolutely tortured by the night aid Roslyn. I had it on video, and yet they would do nothing about it. Up until she took care of him, he was doing so well. I asked how could his condition have changed in just one night. I was told he probably just had another stroke. That was the impression I got there, once you were old it wasn’t on them. It was on you. They constantly used agency nurses. The medical equipment was not only outdated but filthy. The focus is not on the end of life folks, it’s about the independent living and being able to charge big bucks. I was told by other family members they had to put video cameras in their loved ones rooms, because their family members were falling, and it wasn’t being reported. After my dad died, I refused to pay the bill. The billing manager got to cut in half but he said he took a lot of flack in doing that. I am a nurse, and when I ques

I recently was a vendor at a Christmas event for the residents. I hope that an impression from someone outside the organization or from a resident can give you a unique and unbiased insight into the facility.

From what I experienced during the planning and the party, I truly felt that the staff wanted what was best for the residents and didn’t just go through the motions. The three staff members in charge had planned a well-organized party with a fun atmosphere and engaging activities. I could hear the interactions between residents and staff throughout the party, and it was clear they had a great rapport.

The facilities were immaculate and had good security. Even walking through the halls, you could see a variety of upcoming activities for the residents displayed on the many TV screens. I am not in a place where I need a facility like this, but if I did, this would be a great place to live. The residents, who have wide and interesting backgrounds, were quick with a smile and conversation. You could tell they also had great friendships and relationships among themselves, frequently participating in activities together.

I had a great experience, and by the looks

As the owner a large homecare provider in Columbus, I want to share my experience over the past 8-years with the Westminster staff as we serviced residents in the facility. Especially, Amanda Bailey, more recently. She is always kind and helpful when I refer clients to their rehab, assisted living, memory care, or independent living areas. Tours, video calls, or timely information is only a call away. My referrals tell me they are treated with respect and treated with care and patience as they navigate what is the best avenue to care for their loved one. I couldn't recommend them as a facility, or Amanda, more highly having had my clients move in long term and many others who have had all their questions answered in a timely, professional manner.
David Burgess
Owner
Caring Senior Service Columbus
