My mother enjoyed her time in independent living at Brookdale Westlake Village. The staff has been extremely kind and helpful, including billing, food service, housekeeping, maintenance, and the front desk staff. The food was usually excellent and there are many quality activities to choose from. There is a warm and familial feeling throughout the Brookdale Village independent living. We also appreciate the flexibility of the supportive Brookdale At Home staff who were imperative In keeping my mother living independently. I highly recommend it.

OVERPRICED & UNDERSTAFFED. Independent living roof is falling apart after spring storms. Do not take your family here for therapy or long term care. Short staffed filled with agency nursing or Nursing Supervisors working down as an aide with high patient care ratios. High schoolers in the kitchen serving mediocre food. Self pay is $700 a day at the minimum. Administration does no hands on care all office. No community involvement. Illegal use of Mechanical lifts in assistant living by non tested caretakers. Recent bed bug and scabies cases. For the same cost check out Vitalia & Avenue Strongsville.

I am giving this place a one star. My boyfriend picked up at this facility on agency as a nurse and was racially profiled asked to be sent home for going to get his scrub top. I would not recommend sending your family here of color or anyone actually.
