★☆☆☆☆I have had two separate assessments for my mother at Brookdale, and both experiences demonstrated a total disregard for professional boundaries and basic protocol.
During the first assessment, the Nursing Director arrived without any prior notice, despite an explicit agreement that I would be notified first. This lack of communication was so poor that my mother's caregiver had no idea which facility was visiting or who the person even was; they were left to guess who was entering the room. Furthermore, my mother’s medical information was discussed without my permission. Most concerning was that Jill, the admissions representative, bypassed me entirely and reported sensitive information back to a sibling who was not involved in the arrangements.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt and attempted a second assessment. I again requested a heads-up before the visit. She called me after the visit extremely distraught, telling me she made a terrible mistake taking him there. I told her I would go see him. I found him right outside the nurse's station and director's office slumped over in the wheelchair to the point that I had to almost lay on the floor to talk to him. The staff walked by us like nothing was going on. I spoke to a nurse to see if medicati
★★★★★Staff at the community are truly exceptional. They make my dad feel like family. Could not ask for a better community for him.
★★★★★I was looking for my friend in a hurry. They helped me out when others failed. Almost a year now since my friend has been in, and she is so much livelier and healthy. She is interacting more and has been eating so well. Friendly staff and nurses. We chose the right place for sure!!
