Bickford of Lancaster is a wonderful community. The food is great, the activities are always fun and engaging, and the staff is incredibly caring. You can feel how much they truly value the residents.

My grandmother Karen Martin is staying here, they had us pay extra because she tried leaving the facility a couple times so forced us to upgrade and spend around $11,000 out of pocket a month to send her to a different special department where they’re suppose to be keeping a closer eye on her. Instead they still allow her to escape, so instead of having someone watch her closely they just drug her up and now she’s so tired that she’s gained over 80 pounds in less than 6 months. She never walks around like she use to. The nurses there hardly ever email back my parents and if it were up to me I would’ve pulled her out of that place months ago. They can’t transfer because her insurance has finally kicked in after her entire life savings is now drained completely. The only times they reach out to my parents is to try to sell them on some special treatments with their 1 on 1 doctor that goes to the facility instead of them having to drive her to her preferred doctor. I assume most of these reviews are fake because this place is the last place I’d want to send a family member. You’d be better off just sending them to a free nursing home. She also has doctor appointments that they’re not
