★☆☆☆☆I wouldn’t even rate this place but had to so I could speak my mind. My mom is in here now and they are playing with her pain meds. The Nurse Practioner lowered the dosage, so she will be going through withdrawals again. The hospital she transferred from said this wouldn’t be an issue this time as it was last December. She went from 15 mg of Oxycodone to 5 mg every 6 hours all at once, not even weined her down, they said because she didn’t have pain mgmt dr here, from out of state. Now she’s on 10 every 4 hours and they only gave her 5 mg today because they ran out…poor planning. The last facility in May was great and took good care of her, she didn’t do without but she was sent there from Grant. Last December, she was in Mt. Carmel and this time, she was in Mt. Carmel. I only picked this place because it was close to work. I could say so much more. She’s been on pain meds for so long. She now has pain mgmt dr here.
★★★★★Hello Altercare family!!
I just wanted to reach out and give mayor kudos to a few employees that work at this facility, particularly in the physical therapy department.
The names are Mark Skees PT, Heather Wolfe OT, and Jareb Darby OT. These individuals are the ones who dealt with my father when he arrived at the facility. My dad could not even walk because he suffered from a brain stroke. It took him several weeks to respond to any of the therapy they were attempting to do. But they did not give up on my dad. They were determined to see my dad improve. They did everything you could think of to get him moving and it all worked! My dad went from not being able to walk to taking baby steps and then began standing and then began to walk. It was so amazing to watch them interact with my dad who is in his late seventies. It took a few months of consistent therapy from the individuals I mentioned but my dad is now walking on his own. He is at the end of his physical therapy and should be getting released any day now. I believe Mark, Heather, and Jareb are the best at what they do and to be honest deserve a raise or at least be highly recognized by the people that are responsible fo
